Fundraising Campaigns for Animal Welfare and Fighting Food Insecurity

Supporting Animal Welfare Initiatives:

Pennsylvania Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA)

Campaign planning and oversight of initial plan implementation for the PSPCA. Conducted a comprehensive Strategic Fundraising Review, revised the Annual Campaign Plan, and conducted sponsor outreach for the Annual Bark and Whine Gala.

PSPCA is  the foremost provider of animal welfare services in the region. Noteworthy aspects of PSPCA’s mission include offering low-cost pet care and adoption services to community members that might not be able to afford their pets and conducting animal rescue operations to safeguard endangered animals from cruelty and neglect. The PSPCA rescues and cares for a wide variety of animals, from dogs and cats to birds, rabbits, small reptiles, farm animals such as horses, cows, pigs and goats, and injured or orphaned wild animals

A unique aspect of PSPCA’s work is law enforcement; “PSPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement (HLE) program is the only operation of its kind in Philadelphia and the 22 additional counties served throughout Pennsylvania. Our HLE Officers enforce the cruelty laws under the authority granted by the state In 2019, our officers rescued 1,103 animals through 6,154 investigations.”

Fighting Food Insecurity: Funding for Community Food Programs

Blue Ridge Area Food Bank (BRAFB)

Led Annual Major Gift Fundraising Campaign from individuals to support our neighbors in need across the 25 counties and 8 cities spanning the Blue Ridge Mountains region. As a member of the national Feeding America network, Blue Ridge Area Food Bank (BRAFB) collaborates with food pantries and community service providers to distribute essential resources.

Developed donor giving opportunities, including a successful initiative where a local church generously donated funds to cover the cost of a Refrigerated Truck, enabling efficient food delivery to pantries. Additionally, the Church organized an Annual Stuff the Truck Event involving congregational members, all to benefit the Charlottesville community, furthering BRAFB’s mission of alleviating hunger in the region.
